Last week we went to Gatlinburg and to Atlanta. There are so many pictures to share, I am going to add them in several posts. It may make things a little choppy, but I think it's the best way to present our trip. Michael was asked to speak at a conference in Gatlinburg, so we tagged along. That is how we ended up at The Inn at Christmas Place. It was a beautiful hotel. Of course, everything was Christmas themed. It was a fun environment and they "do it" very well. The kids thought it was awesome. There was even a "singing Santa" one night. He was good too!
They were very excited about our room having a Christmas tree. Colin immediately put himself in charge of turning on and off the lights on the tree.
Our beautiful fireplace.
This is a pretty impressive looking cuckoo clock. There is a special "show" each night at 9:00. It was pretty anti-climactic! A little Santa came out and the bells played a few songs.
On the morning we left, Molly and I went outside (it was FREEZING!) to take a few pictures. The hotel grounds were beautiful.
I was impressed with this nativity scene in the lobby. It was right above the registration desk.
Here's a view from the outside.
It was a nice hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Of course, the hotel was not the highlight of our trip by any means. Stay tuned for the highlights!
Until next time...
