Just a reminder, I split up our vacation pictures into 5 different posts. This is the fifth post. If you haven't read the others, you may want to do that first.
After leaving Gatlinburg, we headed to Atlanta. Our school theme last week was octopus and this week, it's water. Therefore, we wanted to take the kids to the aquarium. It was pretty awesome. We all really enjoyed it. I hope I don't bore you with all the pictures. I really did wean it down!
Molly had the grumpies, so we had to find a way to get our girl happy. I made her make grumpy faces until she couldn't.
The grumpies are gone! Hooray!
Enormous sting ray
The whale shark (top) was amazing and HUGE! It completely dwarfed the other shark.
Looking for fish.
Underside of the whale shark.

Another BIG ray
Our cuties
This was Molly's favorite fish in this tank. It is a Longnose Butterflyfish.
These were so fun to watch! They are Garden Eels. They darted in and out of the ground!
Pacific Sea Nettle
Checking stuff out.
Can you spot the fish?
NEMO!!
This is one of the touch tanks. Colin thought this was so cool. Molly wanted nothing to do with it. Colin touch a few of the rays in this pool.
Lion fish
This was another touch pool. We touched starfish and sea urchins in this pool. I was shocked at the hardness of the starfish.
In this touch pool, Michael and Colin touched horseshoe crabs and shrimp.
Like I said, Colin was all over this. He loved touching everything.
Shrimp
Japanese Spider Crab
Beluga whale
Penguins
Beluga whale again. The aquarium was set up so there were two levels to view the belugas.
Molly and Colin with the whales.
Colin with the piranha. Hmmm....
We really enjoyed seeing everything. We were thankful for the opportunity to go and see such amazing creatures.
Until next time...
