Conference Day Fun

Hey y'all,

As noted in a previous post, we went to Gatlinburg because Michael was asked to speak at a conference.  The day of the conference, the kids and I walked around downtown Gatlinburg.  After Michael was finished speaking, we met back up with him, had lunch, did a little shopping, played mini-golf and rode go-karts.  It was an  action packed day!

There wasn't much to do on the "strip" except to shop, so we took our time, and took a few photos too.

On the way back towards the hotel where the conference was held, we came across this great display of pumpkins.  I just couldn't help myself.  We had to take a few pictures! :)

The kids were still collecting leaves.  Here are a few Colin found.  They look like a really nice bouquet here.  He's such a doll!

We got back to the hotel to wait for Michael just as he was finished speaking.  I didn't realize just how much walking we had done until I looked at my poor baby sitting like a zombie, ready to fall right to sleep!  He's such a trooper!

More beautiful color.

We went to a family style restaurant for lunch.  We all loved these rocking chairs that were on the restaurant's porch.

Waiting to eat... Aren't the cute?

Our turn.  Okay, we're cute too. ;)

But, we are awfully silly too!!

We played mini-golf at Old MacDonald's Farm.  It was so much fun!

We did "the udder course."  Ha!

It was hilarious watching them play.

Molly was so serious.

Coo-lin petting the cow.

Moo-ly!

Molly made a good shot.

I had a HORRIBLE game.  I am going to blame it on the kids.  I was trying to help them, speed them up, etc.  But, I finally had a decent shot.  The picture is saying, "Wow!  I finally shot par!"

On the 18th hole, if your ball went into a special hole, you won a ticket for a free game.  Colin was pretty disappointed that he didn't win.

Molly was disappointed too.

Me, well, I was mostly disappointed that Michael so handily beat me!  Ugh!

Molly was so thrilled to be riding go-karts again!

I didn't do so well taking this picture, but you can see that Colin is thrilled too.

At the end of the day, we checked out the Christmas Village across the street from our hotel.  Molly liked the toy soldiers.

It was a great day.  We all went to bed tired, but with smiles on our faces.

Until next time...
