Birthday Parties

Hey y'all,

This week, we attended two birthday parties. The first one was for Janie and Nick. Janie is Molly's best friend. It was at a place called I Jump. I know what many of you are thinking... that sounds an awful lot like Pump it Up. It is. Molly and I had a talk before the party about what it was going to be like and that she could do as much or as little as she wanted. She said she would be very careful and promised not to break her arm this time. :) I was very pleased with her willingness to try again. She is a brave girl.

The second party was this afternoon for a boy named Steven. (All three of these children are in Molly's class at preschool.) Steven's party was Halloween themed and therefore was a costume party. Molly went as Cinderella. Colin went as Dash Incredible. They both looked completely adorable.

The great thing about the parties was that Colin was invited to come along too. This is a very good thing as Colin seems to think he is the same age as all of them. (He is in fact the same size as many of them, so I can understand why!) Colin knows the names of all Molly's friends and loves them as much as she does!

Enjoy the pictures...

Molly the brave... she didn't bat an eye! She was ready to go the minute they were allowed.

Doing a little "hey mom, look at me" here.

There was a room set apart for toddlers. Colin wasn't able to do many of the bouncy things, so he enjoyed playing there. It was nice too, because I was able to watch Reiden (a friends little boy) so his mom was able to watch Reese, his older brother.

Each kid received a few tokens to play games in the arcade. I missed seeing Molly play the arcade games, but according to Michael, she had a blast and she was fun to watch. This is the prize she got with the tickets she won.

Here, Michael is teaching Colin how to play Whack-a-mole.

Colin whacking away!

Molly with the birthday girl, Janie and another one of their school friends, Leytin.

This big blow up chair was in the party room. I had to talk Molly into sitting in it. I had to sit with her in order to get her to sit there.

Before Steven's party, I took a few pictures of the kids in their costumes. (I was afraid if I waited until Trunk or Treat night, the costumes might not be as clean. I was right!) They were showing off their muscles. I think we have the strongest, fastest Incredible and the most beautiful Cinderella ever!

There were a lot of fun games at Steven's party. Here Molly was trying to bowl with a pumpkin. It didn't work all that well, but she was determined.

Doing a little putting.

It's a piece of cake for Mr. Incredible.

Here Cinderella was fishing for ducks. I love the faces she makes when she is trying hard to do something.

Molly and Colin competed in a sack race. HILARIOUS!!

I really think we have the cutest son EVER!

Can't you just hear him saying "Cheeeeeese?" He was loving the cotton candy!

Cinderella, aka Molly and the birthday boy, Buzz Lightyear, aka Steven.

As you can see, both parties were lots of fun. Michael and I even had a good time at each one. I am enjoying getting to know some of the other moms too.

Until next time...

It looks like Buzz Lightyear is trying to cop a feel. You had better put a stop to that now.
