Pumpkin Fun

Hey y'all,

Today Molly had her first field trip. Her preschool class went to Camp Coleman. There, they took a "hay ride" (really a wagon ride), listened to a story, picked out a pumpkin (kind of lame if you ask me... they were pre-picked and about the size of softballs!), learned about snakes and got to pet them, and made s'mores over a campfire. Molly and Colin both had a lot of fun. It was a lot of fun for me to see Molly with her friends. After the field trip, all the kids were dismissed and didn't go back to school, so Molly, Colin and I went on a picnic. After the picnic, I took pictures of them on a really cool bridge in Trussville. It was a beautiful day and we all had a good time. Enjoy the pictures...

Here is the wagon we rode for the hay ride.

The kids were all so excited. As we waited for everything to get started, they were all running around making their own fun.

A view of Camp Coleman. It was very pretty. It was a true camp too. I think it is a Boy and Girl Scout camp.

In the snake house... We were all under the impression that there would be a petting zoo. If they call this a petting zoo... The girl showed them three snakes and let them pet them if they wanted. In my opinion she was very boring and way over their heads. But... (imagine me shrugging here... it was beyond me.)

Colin and I had to leave the snake house because he was a bit bored and squirmy. Here he is examining a nut he found on the ground. I love his serious look!

All the kids loved playing in the leaves. Here Molly is throwing them in the air all over herself.

More leaves... here's hoping she isn't allergic to leaf mold like I am!!

My beautiful girl

Here's our picnic. It was simple, but it was fun. I am not one that loves to eat outdoors, so this was a real treat for them. I don't know how full they were at the end; there was plenty of food, but they were too busy looking around to eat.

Where we ate our lunch, there is this really cool bridge. They took their pumpkins and I tried to get a few good pictures. They weren't extremely cooperative. I could have used some help. Next time, I will take Michael with us. However, thankfully, I got a few good shots.

So sweet!

Running back to me

Handsome Colin

Beautiful Molly

There were a long series of pictures between this one and the last one where Molly wouldn't smile. She was being a bit of a grump! So, I tried to make her laugh to get her to smile. I love the result! This is one of my favorites!

Doesn't he look like he should come with a warning? WARNING: Extremely ornery!

Here we were just having fun at the end. Molly was being kind of silly, but I really like how this one turned out.

This is my absolute favorite! I tried to get Colin to lay down for me too, but he only cooperated for about 30 seconds and wouldn't look at me for any of those seconds. Molly had a short fuse too, but I did get this one. I LOVE IT!

The day was gorgeous, fun was had and beautiful kids make beautiful pictures!

Until next time...

Mr. Dover,
I do not anonymously leave posts to my own blog. I unashamedly say how beautiful they are within the blog. Therefore, there is no need to add this fact in a comment.
Thank you.
