To Ohio...

Hey y'all,

Michael's Uncle Jack passed away, so we went to Ohio for the funeral. Even though our reason for travel was sad, we really had a great trip. The kids had so much fun seeing many of their cousins. And, we had interesting sights and fun along the way.

There was a rest stop in TN with these tiled sea life. Here, the kids are sitting on a fish. It was great for them to get some energy out. The only problem... they didn't want to leave!

They loved exploring all of it.

At the Hampton Inn where we stayed in TN, there were llamas, a rooster, old cars, various statues... it was interesting. Molly and Colin loved seeing everything. They were able to take a very entertaining walk with Michael the morning we left, while I finished getting ready and got everything packed up and loaded in the car.

These swings are actually old chair lifts from a ski resort! Very cool.

The Molly and Rachael reunion - so sweet!

I know this is blurry (they were all moving so fast!) but I think it is funny. Molly is desperately trying to hug AJ, he isn't so sure and it appears that Rachael and Colin are shaking hands!

We were only about two weeks late... Here is AJ with the Star Wars t-shirt we got him for his birthday. (He's the lucky one, Jackson's gift - August birthday! - is still on my counter. I keep forgetting to mail it!)

This is one of our cousins, Caroline. At the funeral home, Molly and Colin were able to meet Addy, Michael's cousin Michele's baby, see Michael's cousin Eddie's kids, (Colin and Gage were so fun to watch!!), and see Michael's cousin Heather's kids, Drew and Caroline. Drew and Caroline came back to the McCann's after the funeral, so Molly and Colin were able to play with them for a while. They all had fun. Caroline is such a cutie!

Molly was really enjoying her ice cream at Culver's. She's my girl!! ;)

This is also so typical Colin. We ate at a very interesting restaurant in Nashville. That's all I will say, interesting. The kids enjoyed the ice cream, at least.

The trip, though sad, was really a lot of fun too. We were thankful for the opportunity to go "home" and see family and friends. (I was able to sneak over to my friend Beth's house for a quick visit.)
