Jones visit and Lambert Reunion

Hey y'all,

I appreciate the few people that gave me recent feedback. It's nice knowing that people read the blog and in a timely manner. I know it may be a pain to comment on the blog, but you can always do it anonymously and just include your name as part of the post or, you could always just call us or email us too!

Anyway, we had a nice little visit with Grandpa Jones, Uncle Marc, Jessica, Josh and Jenny. It was great to see them and in the process, Molly, Colin and I got to visit with Aunt Eleanor too. Not to mention, we all got to head up to Holly Pond for Decoration Day and the Lambert family reunion. It was great to meet some of our family. We hope that we can go every year now.

Josh was pretty opposed to getting his picture taken, so I had to catch him off guard.

Grandpa Jones with his sister, Aunt Eleanor.

The story here is that Molly dropped my camera and we thought it was broken. She has taken a real interest in taking pictures and I have talked to her about how to hold the camera, how to take a decent picture, etc. She has been very responsible and so I have allowed her to take a few pictures here and there with our camera. (Who am I to keep the next great photographer from blossoming, right?) Anyway, she asked to take a picture of Grandpa and Aunt Eleanor. I let her and as she was handing the camera back to me, it dropped. It was completely an accident, but I was pretty upset. The lens was bent and wouldn't move in or out! She felt pretty bad about it, and knew I was upset. So when we got home, I figured I had nothing to lose and pushed the lens back in. I heard it snap and crunch, so I thought it was the end. But, it started to work again! Yea!! I guess it was just snapping back into place. This was one of my 'test' pictures. I think Molly was a happy as I was that it was working again!

These are the grave markers for Grandma Jones' parents, my Great-Grandparents.

This is Dink. I am sorry to say that I can't remember where he fits in the family. There are a lot of Lamberts! I hope to get things figured out at some point! Anyway, he won Colin over quickly! Colin walked him all around talking about bugs and flowers and a whole lot of gibberish!

Colin was VERY loving toward Daddy this morning. We have several really sweet pictures of the two of them. Colin kept kissing and hugging Michael.

I caught Josh! Jess was in on the plan... it was great!

Josh realizes he has been had. We really had a lot of fun in the short time we were together.

Grandpa Jones and Tiny - It was so fun to hear her tell stories about Grandma. She said even though Grandma was her aunt, they were more like cousins and really good friends.

Sweet hugs and kisses.

The Jones kids were fantastic with Molly and Colin! I appreciated their patience and kindness. Molly was SO excited for them to come and wanted to show them EVERYTHING. Here, everyone was hungry and lunch was still a while away. Josh entertained them with his i-pod touch. Thanks Josh!

Group pictures were taken towards the end of the reunion.

All the Jones representation.

Until next time.... (It should be beach pictures!! Woo-hoo!)
