Atlanta

Hey y'all,

We spent the weekend in Atlanta. We stayed at a hotel right by the airport. (We have been there before... last summer... when we were homeless...) The kids (that includes Michael!!) love this hotel because you can see hundreds of airplanes from the rooms. Colin couldn't wait to get out on the balcony and watch! We were also planning to go to a Braves game while in town.

Literally, the minute Colin got up on Saturday morning, he was begging to go out on the balcony to watch airplanes, or as he would say it, paplanes.

There was a grassy area right outside the hotel where the kids ran around and we all watched planes.

All dressed up and ready to root on the Braves!

Back up on the balcony... two peas in a pod!

The two of them could have sat out there 24/7!! They were loving it!

So, at this point, (as you can see from the picture, rain was coming) we made the decision NOT to go to the Braves game. It was a difficult decision because we were all really looking forward to it, but in the end, we made the right choice. It drizzled throughout the entire game! I am not sure the kids would have done well with that.

Colin begging to go back outside. Pweeeeese!

As I said, he really could have sat out there for hours on end. In fact, anytime we left the hotel, he was pleading to go back. Totel, pweese, totel?

Molly and I jumped into the fountains at Centennial Olympic Park downtown and barely got wet! (We timed it just right!) :)

We left Atlanta after watching the show at the fountain above; water pulses and creates a show to the music. We had a really great time, even though we didn't make it to the game. There is always next time. Now that we are just two hours from Atlanta, it wasn't that big a deal to miss the game.

Until next time...
