Azaleas and Michael's Birthday

Hey y'all,

We were so pleased to learn that some of the bushes in front of our house are azaleas!! Of course we missed the blooms last year, but I was beginning to wonder if they were azaleas because the leaves were similar to other azalea bushes I have seen. It was such a wonderful surprise to see all the pink buds forming a few weeks ago. Last week they were balls of pink and very beautiful. As you know, I love taking picture, playing with my camera and thinking I am a true photographer... so I was out taking close ups and other various shots trying to capture their beauty. Below are a few of my favorites. Also, there are a few pictures from Michael's birthday. His cake wasn't near as fancy as the kids' cakes, but it was delicious! (If I do say so myself!) ;) Michael's favorite kind of cake is Red Velvet. I have found a recipe that is easy and VERY good. So far I am two for two on making it. I wish we could have shared it with all of you!

Of course, this is THE favorite. I just love this girl!!!

This is classic! I was trying to get a nice "birthday" picture of Molly and Michael, but Molly just discovered she had gotten BBQ sauce on her shirt. Love the face!! We were at Dreamland, a local BBQ place. They are known for their ribs. To be honest, I wasn't all that impressed. I guess I could get in trouble for saying that down here, but honestly, I would challenge anyone to bring ribs to Michael and let him grill them. Then, they would know that Dreamland's got nothin'!

Michael's yummy red velvet cake.

The birthday boy... isn't he cute? :)

Until next time...

PS. If I don't start getting some feedback from you people, I may go on strike!!
