Disney on Ice

Hey y'all,
Last night we went to Disney on Ice.  It was incredible!  (Note:  I know that to some, this diminishes my SDC status.  I however, think it was worth it!  The kids LOVED it!)  It was so much better that I thought it would be.  Disney certainly thinks of everything.  We waited to tell the kids until we were getting ready to leave.  Molly was pretty cute.  She immediately went to her room to find a magazine that had an advertisement for the show.  She made the connection that it was the same.  She was pretty excited!

Here they are, ready to leave.

I was pretty impressed that I was able to take decent pictures.  I thought the lighting would make it impossible.  Many of the pictures I got were blurry due to movement, but I was pleased that I got as many as I did.  Mickey and Minnie were about the easiest to get pictures of.  I think maybe because they were bigger and couldn't do as many fast, fancy moves.  ???

The zamboni got "stuck" on the ice and Donald Duck had to get it off.  Chip and Dale "skied" behind him once he got it started.

Beauty and the Beast with Lumiere

She couldn't have been more excited to see the princesses!

Snow White -- Of course, the princesses were the hardest to get good pictures of.  They moved too fast and were spun too much.  It was fun to watch though.  And, Molly loved it!  This morning, she told me that she was going to be a character when she grows up.  You know, like Snow White or Cinderella and skate like that. :)  Of course, this was after she told me yesterday in Michael's that she was going to be an artist when she grows up.  I love it!!

Okay, so I HATE "It's a Small World!"  It gets stuck in my head and it's just plan annoying, but... this part of the show was pretty neat.  Molly didn't care for it all that much though... she said it was because too many of the skaters were "neked."  They didn't have enough clothes on!  That's right!!  You tell 'em girl!! ;)

Mickey wasn't the only one who "flew" down, but it was pretty neat anyway.  Colin thought the balloon was so cool.

Colin's favorite part was Mickey and the marching band.  He was still talking about it when I put the sleepy boy to bed.

Of course, he also LOVED the Incredibles.  As soon as the music started (I think he's seen the movie twice!), before the characters came out, he was yelling to me, "the Incredibles! it's Mr. Incredible and Dash!"

I was able to get this picture of Cinderella at the very end.  I really wanted one of her for Molly.  Cinderella is her favorite.  Oh, and Sleeping Beauty (who wasn't part of the show :( ) and Snow White, and... :)

The show wasn't over until almost 9:00.  They usually go to bed at 8:00.  Molly was out very quickly.

Colin held off until we were almost home.  But, sleep eventually got him.

The whole night was fun.  It's so great when we can do these fun, special things.  I love seeing things through the kids' eyes!  Such wonder!  Such joy!

Until next time....

PS.  Let me know what you think of the picture size.  The editing is new, and I now have the option to make the pictures even bigger.  I left some the "old" size so you can tell the difference.  I thought I would love it because you can see things better, but I am not sure if I like it.  Let me know what y'all think!
