Last weekend, I went to a scrapbooking retreat and Michael and the kids went to Gatlinburg. I had a wonderful time with friends and got a lot of scrapbooking done. Michael and the kids met Bonnie and Mike for a weekend full of fun of their own. Michael (on strict orders!) did a wonderful job of taking pictures for me. I have to admit that I was torn throughout the weekend. I really looked forward to my time away to scrapbook and thoroughly enjoyed myself, but I certainly missed my family and was a wee bit jealous of all the fun they were having. Too bad I couldn't have my cake and eat it too!
They stayed at a cabin in the Smokies. It had a pool table. The kids were thrilled with that!!
A regular pool shark!
The McCann's were held up due to traffic. The kids had no idea that they were going to see them. They were so happily surprised.
Woody and Jessie towels - so funny!!
Jessie and Woody? Grandpa is such a sport!
The kids were really excited about seeing the walking stick. They told me all about it.
Colin with his new Jr.car
They went to Track and rode a ride. Molly didn't like it.
Colin loved it.
Poor girl... she didn't like it at all!
The go-karts! Even though I wasn't there, I can hear Colin's excitement in my head!
I know they had a blast.
Grandma and "Jessie" - I just want to know why Grandma didn't try on the Woody towel!?! ;)
They even got to go in the "hot pool."
The walking stick wasn't the only interesting thing they saw. These are wild turkeys.
I know they had a wonderful time and made wonderful memories. I know that I had a super time, made memories and preserved memories too. I'd say it was a successful weekend for all of us!
Until next time...
