Easter Weekend

Hey y'all,

Here are a ton of pictures from this past weekend. We had a birthday party for Molly and Colin because Grandma McCann and Aunt Kelly were here for a visit. We got beautified for Easter Sunday - He is Risen! We had an egg hunt in our yard and went to the Egg Drop for our church. The kids also got Easter baskets from the McCann's, Michael and me, and gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Jones, as well as Great-Grandma McCleery. We had a VERY tiring, event-filled, fun weekend. Enjoy the pictures...

This shirt was a gift from Grandpa McCann. This is more than likely the first and last time he will wear it!

Aunt Kelly got Molly drum sticks for her birthday. Thanks Kel! :p~~~

Colin got several cars from the movie Cars from Aunt Kelly. He LOVES them!

Molly was thrilled with her gardening stuff from Grandma and Grandpa McCann.

Her very own watering can.

Along with the cars, Aunt Kelly got Colin a rug with the town of Radiator Springs on it. Very cool!

Colin driving his cars.

We got a cookies cake from Sam's for the kids. Molly had been asking for one for a while.

Colin got a Cars plate in his Easter basket.

Molly liked the jelly bean carrot.

Colin on the hunt for eggs.

She's off and running!

Found another one.

He's so handsome!

I love how intently he is looking in this picture.

Colin is SO ornery! He thought it was hilarious that he was in the bushes!

We told Colin to look by the mailbox. He did, but... :)

Finally, he found it!

Oh boy, she found another one. (Note, we have had some pretty windy weather lately; it blew the swing over and unfortunately for me, the trash can last night. Talk about gross! I spent my morning cleaning up trash from around our yard and the neighborhood!)

I like this picture, I just wish we could see her eyes too.

Our church had an Egg Drop. The helicopter took up bags of eggs and dropped them all over this field. It was pretty cool. Colin LOVED the helicopter!

This is a picture of the eggs dropping. It's a bit hard to see the eggs, but they are there.

Colin is off...

SOOOO handsome!

Okay, so... interesting story here... The church asked for donations of eggs and candy to fill them. Someone had the great idea of buying pre-filled eggs. Word of experience here... DON'T!!!! I am so thankful that Michael and I sorted through the eggs at nap time. The pre-filled eggs had weird, used, dirty, very odd, you get the point, things in them. I must say, the oddest item was the used Advanced Auto Parts patch! I am not making this stuff up! There were circles with skulls on them, little plastic toys that looked like they had been played with since 1980, garbage tots stickers (We think this was supposed to be a knock off of Garbage Pail Kids, remember those? I am telling you, odd!)... So, please, NEVER buy pre-filled eggs!

Hooray!

So sweet!

Family photo! Yea. Not the greatest pic, but I will take it!

Eater basket from Mom and Dad.

Colin's hat from the "fish store." He got it for Easter, but he actually picked it out himself. He told Michael that he wanted it! That's my boy!

Molly in her new night gown! (And my shoes.) Such a big girl!

Until next time...

I didn't say we didn't like it, I just don't see any reason he will need to "tell" grandpa anything.
I was trying to make a joke. I guess I failed.
If I didn't like it, I wouldn't have put the picture on the blog.
