So, I am going to quit warning you that the posts are long, because apparently, they all are! I can't seem to help myself... my kids are cute and I like to take pictures, what can I say? ;) Anyhow, this post is more of a hodgepodge of events. (As the title indicates!) Colin loves painting and coloring. The Birmingham Zoo is very nice. It doesn't compare to Columbus, but then, B'ham is much smaller and doesn't have Jack Hanna, so we didn't expect it to be as grand. I got some really great pictures though. (I love photography!) We had a lot of fun with Ben and Elizabeth. I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted. We were pretty busy, but really enjoyed their visit. And, to end the post... I am telling you, Colin is HILARIOUS! I will explain at the pictures.

painting, Birmingham Zoo, Ben and Elizabeth's visit, and "fishing"
Hey y'all,
So, I am going to quit warning you that the posts are long, because apparently, they all are!
Colin got these dot paints for Christmas. He loves them! Molly likes them too. I like that they aren't as messy, thought Colin finds a way... :)
More painting... Note the concentration!
Much to my chagrin, Colin loved the petting zoo. (Gross!) He couldn't get enough of the goats! He was giddy with excitement.
Molly wasn't all that into it... like her momma, I guess. Colin pet anything he could reach. Molly briefly touched the sheep, but it was too quick to catch on camera!
Eureka! We found our beaver! (Read previous posts to understand.) It wasn't quite the same as if we found it in the 'wild', but it was still a thrill.
I'm not sure why Molly was grumpy. She didn't have to be in the picture, but couldn't stand the thought of missing out, I guess. I love that it looks like the giraffe is about to eat off Colin's shoulder.
We all loved the zebra. Well, Michael thinks they are silly animals, but I think they are cool.
I was amazed at how close we were to the lions. There was a school group there at the time and they had just thrown food to the lions, so they were active and close to the window. It was incredible! I just wish they cleaned the glass! ;)
We found a lizard. I really thought Colin was going to pick it up. The funny things is that I believe it would have let him! It did not want to move out of the sun. At one point, Michael was holding Colin back!
Molly couldn't have been more excited for Ben and Elizabeth to arrive. We actually got to see their plane land and pull into the gate.
This was all around a great greeting!
We took B and E to Mt Cheaha before heading into Anniston to see Aunt Sophie and Judy.
Colin hanging out with Uncle Sam, uh, Ben. The stinker called Ben, Sam all weekend!
Molly enjoyed sitting in the way back. She found the cup holders in the back and pretended to serve coffee to everyone. I love her creativity!
Aunt Inez insisted we go to the Galleria to pick out something for the new baby at the Disney store. She also thought the kids would love a ride on the carousel. Molly and Ben had a very enjoyable ride.
So here's the story on "fishing." I was working at the computer (on the last blog entry) and happened to look up to see Colin fishing in Molly's pot from the kitchen set. It was hilarious. He looked up at me and in his cute little way said, "fishin." I, of course, ran for the camera, hoping that he would continue until I got a picture. He actually continued to "fish" for several minutes. I LOVED it!!
