In like a lion...

Hey all,
So, it happened. We got snow in Alabama. And, it was nuttier than I expected! I was forced to leave my scrapbooking retreat 5 and a half hours early for 1, yes I said one, inch of snow! We were under a Winter Storm Warning. People were frantic. It was rather funny. I have to say though, I will take the panic, because I really like how they do snow down here! It was beautiful, but was gone in hours! I was happy to have a little snow because Colin got to play in it for the first time. He wasn't all that crazy about it, but I think that was because he refused to wear his gloves. (That and the face plant!) He came around though and even helped with our snowman. From what I gather, the panic is understandable because this was the first measurable snow fall in nine years! They just don't know what to do. Anyway, I hope you enjoy our pictures. Michael took pictures from the very beginning, and I took pictures as it was melting, so you can see it start to finish.

The first flurries.

The start of accumulation.

Snowing harder.

Colin checks out the snowfall.

He likes it!

Isn't it beautiful?

This was about it. Note the ground peeking out in places.

Another beautiful picture of the trees.

Our little snowman. (He was a bit grassy, and his eyes are leaves, but hey, we have to work with what we have!)

Colin and snowman

Adding to the head. The head actually fell apart a few times.

They make a pretty good team. (Note the black and white... I did this for Colin because he was forced to wear purple snow pants passed down from Molly.)

The back deck at it's fullest.

This was taken literally 2 hours later! Note the sunny, blue sky!

Again, 2 hours later!

Until next time...
