Hey all,
We had a fun-filled trip to Ohio. We got to see all the cousins, and spend time with all the grandparents and all but one of the aunts and uncles. I was thrilled to be able to make it for the annual family gathering that Grandma puts together. I think though, my kids would say, the flying was the best part! They LOVED flying. When we got to Columbus, the first thing Molly wanted to know was how many sleeps until we got on the plane again! They have both talked about it non-stop since we have been home. In fact, yesterday, they had the backpack out and were "packing" it for a trip on Delta to Ohio. They put in snacks and other essentials and were ready to go. Enjoy the pictures from our trip...

I put the kids to bed in their clothes on Friday night. I knew we had to get up VERY early and I thought this would be the best way to let them sleep the longest and make for the easiest transition to the van. (Confession: This is a posed picture. Molly was not really asleep.)

This was really what she was like that night! Very excited and very animated! :)

So, they weren't as animated at 3:30 in the morning, but they were still very excited! I have to brag on my two little morning people, they were fantastic about getting up and getting going that early. (I am sure a promised plane ride helped!)

Here's our sweet girl about to cross over into her very first plane.

All situated on the plane and ready for take off.

We had a connection in Atlanta and while we waited I allowed Molly and Colin to have a sucker. They loved that there tongues changed color. Molly's was blue and...

Colin's was bright red!

It took us a while to take off in Atlanta. We were on the plane for a while before we even got to the runway. Both kids were sound asleep during take off.

Here is Colin greeting Grandma Jones at Lake Hope. (I don't have any photos of the greeting in the airport, Kelly was the assigned photographer then.)

Here is our handsome and absolutely hilarious nephew, Johnny.

We took a walk around the cabins at Lake Hope. Molly and Johnny have always been such good friends. I love that! It's nice to know that they don't have to see each other once a week to still know and like each other. (Note the hand holding.)

Allen and Jill brought their Wii to the house. We had so much fun playing all the games. (There are thankfully no pictures of Elizabeth and me boxing. I can't imagine that was a pretty site! No offense Elizabeth, I am fully referring to me!) Here, Abigail is bowling and doing a fabulous job, I might add.

Elizabeth and Jessie, two beauties hanging out at Lake Hope.

There was an amazing full and double rainbow one evening during a storm. I have about 30 pictures of it, but I chose this one because you can see the double and quite a bit of the arc/arch. (which is it?)

Firefighter Colin at Grandma and Grandpa Jones' house.

Molly with our final plane of the trip.
So, there you have it. We took two young people on four different planes, stayed overnight in a cabin, enjoyed relatives, and still made it home alive. (I can't say in one piece though because we sure did bring a lot of sickness home with us! Molly STILL isn't 100%.)
Until next time...

OK...who was in charge of the 3 children walking down the middle of the road by themselves and before a hill?
